My second pregnancy
My name is Amanda Marshall. I am a
Certified Labor Doula and a Postpartum
Doula. I have been a Labor Doula at
home births, medicated births, natural
births and c-section. As a Postpartum
Doula I have worked with singletons,
multiples and preemies.

I am a Colorado native. I have been married for over 11 years
and have 2 beautiful sons, 11 and 6 years old. Being a mom is
truly a privilege and an awesome responsibility. Although it
can be the hardest job on earth, it is the most rewarding. I
thought I knew what love was before children. I didn’t. It is an
overwhelming, explosive love.
I feel I found my calling when I became a doula. Although it
can be tough, things maybe don’t go the way you wanted for a
family, sleepless nights and long hours. The miracle of birth
makes it all worth while. When a baby is born it is a life
changing event for everyone involved.
When I am working with newborns I find a similar situation.
Things don’t go maybe the way I think they should, sleepless
nights and long hours. It is all worth because I know I am
making a difference in a family’s life. I feel blessed to be able to
nurture such a priceless gift. My postpartum work usually
ends around the time the baby or babies learn to smile. That
is my reward.
