Families deserve to be well informed and completely supported
when it comes to childbirth. My hope for women is that they
realize how strong they really are. Birth is a natural, normal
process. Not a disease or sickness. You do not have to be treated
when you are in labor, you need to be honored and supported. I
want to be able to give families all the information they need to
make decisions for themselves and be confident in those decisions.
Women need to be encouraged and supported during labor.
As every labor is different, every family is different. When the
postpartum period begins it is a huge transition for the family. It
is an emotional time. Whether you have a singleton or multiples,
families need to have a support system to help them deal with
their new found emotions. Moms deserve to be taken care of
during this time. She needs to know what a wonderful thing she
has done by bringing a baby into this world. She also needs to
know that being a mother is the only job she has right now.
Having a baby can be a very overwhelming time. This is a time
when your life long journey has begun.
